After almost 2 months of preparation work with trainings and friendlies, we did not expect such headaches for the first game having to worry whether we have enough players.
Though the result is not what we wanted, well done to everyone on the pitch today, we have shown great character to fight back from 4-1 down, and I am sure we would have equalized if there is 5 more minutes to play. By the way, due to the unfortunate injury at the opposition, and the delay in the game, we only played 2×40 minutes (referee’s decision).
We can say it was first game of the season, or for whatever reason, we weren’t at our sharpest form in the first 25, need to improve in our defending, making more runs to show options, etc. The last 20 min was what we can really do well, apply pressure on the opponent, get to their box and create chances.
There is lot to learn from this game, and we will be ready for next game against Six Bells!

Being on time: today we had almost full squad in the dressing room at 9:45 – let’s keep this habit and discipline! There will be entertainment provided, as it was today – get your favorite songs in so they can be added to our Pre-match playlist! :)

With people coming back from vacation, there will be a strong squad available for next week, with plenty of options to keep fresh legs on the pitch – I am sure we are all looking forward to get our first win of the season!

Finally, let’s keep the positivity – love the fact that today, even when the game did not go our way – we kept encouraging each other and there wasn’t any argument on the pitch. Everyone showed leadership in working and acting as a team – on and off the pitch. Thanks to Craig for coming down and supporting us from the sidelines, despite of being down with serious illness during the week.

Have a great week, and see you all on Sunday!
