As usual – first – here is Tinos’s summary:

Today we played our second game of the new season, which ended with a draw (3-3).
The opponent won the first half 2-1, and then we did the same in second – won it 2-1. That would give the picture to anyone not seeing the game, that it was 2 different halves, and that was the case indeed.
We wanted to work on improving our defense, as a key learning from last week; we know that we will score 2-3 goals every game, but if we want to win games, we have to get much more efficient defensively.
It took again some time to pick up the rhythm of the game, the opponent dominated the first 10-15 minutes. Then we started to get in front of their goal, creating chances, and from mid way into the half, it was a fairly balanced game, and it looked like we’ll go for halftime with 1-1, but unfortunately we have conceded an avoidable last minute goal at the very end of the first half.
The positive was that this did not break us, we had a constructive discussion in the break, what we need to work on to get back in the game. Even when the opponent scored their 3rd goal from a smart freekick combination, we did not drop our heads – and eventually started to dominate the game; fair to say we were all over them in the last 30 minutes, and same feeling like last week – if there had been another 5 min, we surely score again.
We have just massively improved within the game in in all positions, and our strikers did what we need them for: Ben scored 2 great goals, first one after a smart combination with Freddy from corner, and the second after latching onto Sammy’s clearance ball, bringing it into control, beating the defender and curving into the far post / top corner. Tino got on the scoresheet as well today, with a run in channels to collect Harry P’s quality assist, beating the defender and calmly putting it away besides the keeper.

Having 16 players gave us the advantage to keep fresh legs on the pitch, which certainly helped our massive come back into the game.
The way we use subs, there will be a decent game time for everyone even if we have the maximum numbers of players for a game (16); building on one of our core values at the club: we can be only successful as a team, building on the diverse strengths and character each player brings in!

Once again, everyone was on time today and kitted up in the changing room by 10 – thanks team and let’s keep up with this discipline.
Also, it is also nice to spend time together after the game, so let’s make it a habit to go to the pub unless you have a conflicting program! Thanks to Emma and the pub for their usual hospitality, providing us with food after games!

Next Sunday is Cup game, set your RSVP if haven’t done so yet!
Looking forward to win our first competitive game with the new name!
